To install the guide as a web app (PWA), simply open the link in your browser (preferably Chrome or Safari). You’ll see an “Add to Home Screen” prompt — tap it, and the app will be installed like a regular app.

No, our app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) and does not require downloading from an app store. You just access it via a browser and save it to your home screen.

Location access helps us show you nearby attractions and optimize your route. You can deny permission, but features like map-based navigation may not work properly.

Not yet, once installed and opened at least once with an internet connection, most content is available online — including maps and tour information. However, real-time features like GPS location and updates may require a connection.

Our app is designed to be data-efficient and try to download thema locally. Audio guides are compressed to minimize file size, typically ranging from 1 to 3 MB per minute, depending on quality settings. However, if you're traveling internationally, be aware that data roaming charges can be substantial. Some mobile providers charge up to EUR 6 per MB, leading to unexpected high bills.

  • Disable data roaming in your device settings.
  • Download content over Wi-Fi before your trip.
  • Use offline mode within the app when possible.
  • Monitor your data usage through your device or carrier app.
By taking these precautions, you can enjoy the app's features without incurring unexpected costs.

After purchasing, you will receive an activation code. Simply enter the code on the activation screen to unlock full access for the number of days specified.

Depending on your purchase, activation lasts for 12 to 72 hours from the moment you enter the code. After that, the access expires automatically.

Your activation code is provided to you at the time of purchase. Depending on where you bought the guide:

  • If you purchased it in person (e.g. at a kiosk, hotel or travel point), the code is printed on a card or receipt.
  • If you bought it online, the code is sent to you via email immediately after payment.
Please check your inbox (and spam/junk folder if needed). If you haven't received your code within a few minutes, contact us at support@plaitour.com together with the email address entered during purchase and the reicpt of payment.

No, Access codes are valid for a single device and cannot be transferred.

We respect your privacy. We do not collect personal data unless your email to send the Access code or unless you contact us directly (e.g., via support). We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the service.

If you're experiencing issues using the app, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot:

  • Check your internet connection: Ensure your device is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or mobile data. Some features, such as loading maps or streaming audio, require an active connection (unless previously cached).
  • Enable GPS/location services: For location-based features (like showing nearby points of interest), the app needs access to your device’s location. Make sure location services are enabled on your device.
  • Grant "Location permission" to the app in your browser: If you denied location access when first prompted, you may need to manually enable it:
    • Go to your browser settings (e.g., Safari, Chrome)
    • Open the site permissions or privacy settings
    • Locate our app’s URL and enable location access
  • Refresh or restart: Try refreshing the page or restarting your browser. On mobile, you can also close and reopen the app from your home screen (if installed as a PWA).
  • Clear cache (if needed): In some rare cases, clearing your browser's cache may help resolve loading issues.
